it's been about 6 months since i started seeing him... we never had any problems, he always made me smile and was probably the only guy that could make me laugh so incredibly hard my sides ached the next day.. he was cute, but dorky.. his physical appearance cute, his personality dorky and fun

he was so sexy, i loved everything about him, and he was absolutely amazing in bed.. he's one of those guys that you think about all the time, you know?? i always got the feeling when i looked into his eyes that i was safe, protected.. i don't know if any of you girls have had this kinda relationship happen to you, but just about a week ago we decided to both be friends cause we started having a lot of problems... mostly cause my work is taking up most of my time and he's stressing out cause he never gets to see me anymore and when he does i'm too tired to do anything hardly

what do i do? how do i get him back?? he's waited for me for so long.. i miss him already

Well I have to say that I have been in a relationship like that for 3 and 1/2 years now and it is still great. Every now and then I don't get to see him as much because of his job or mine. It is life, everyone has to have a job in order to survive these days. That is when it is time to move in together so that you can see each other all the time unless working. :thumbsup:

I had a relationship sort of like that for a year and a half with a guy who lived about an hour away. Since neither of us drove at the time we could only see each other about once a month. For that year and a half it was perfect. My problem was that I started being interested in other guys. So, we were off and on for the next two years. We are now officially over for good. The point is that sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. If you both work at it, you can make it work. If either of you is unwilling to work, then the relationship will fail. This isn't a "What can I do?" or a "What can he do?" situation. This is a "What can WE do?" situation, and the answer is talk it out. Have a session where the both of you explain your side and come to a common ground. Be sure to tell him what you told us about how much you want it to work. When I was younger I was "dating" a guy named William. He was so sweet. He brought me flowers on Valentines day and he was just the nicest guy you could ever know. But his home life was shitty. Anyway, I let my "friends" pressure me in to dumping him. Then he moved out to CA to be with his dad. Well, when he came back to MN he wanted to see me and I said no cuz I was afriad. I totally know how you feel. There was a guy i liked who totally fits your description. I liked him for a year, and we just started going out. I've learned that you can't try and get somebody. It shouldn't be like that. I mean, if you both still like each other, try it again. but don't strain it. mabey you should just be friends with benefits, but i bet it would work a lot better if you just learned to enjoy each other's company without having to slap on a label. try it. it works. even if you don't become "Boyfriend and girlfriend" again, hell, at least you still have each other's company.
