Yea, so now that I finally have a somewhat decent video card again, I need to know how many of you play computer games and which ones they are. I'd like to play with people I know from time to time rather than just fuckin around all the time on random servers.

Well i play halo it is the demo but you can still play multi player with people accross the world.. I have the regular one but for some reason it won't play multi player.

Ocassionally, but never on pubs. I mostly play with friends or on the SA and Gen[M]ay private servers. That goes for any game really; I got really tired of the leet speaking, tking, 13 year old retards in pubs and gave up.

I'd like to run a dedicated UT2k4 CTF/Assault/Onslaught server soon. WTF as a community should start playing that game. It's fun and it doesnt take a really great card to play it. A Geforce 4 MX 440 can run it on medium settings at about 60 fps.

Currently playing World of Warcraft, HL2, and not much else. I've been seeing serious stagnation on every platform in terms of new and interesting ideas and genres. The last console I've owned with one of a kind, all-new, kick-ass software was the Dreamcast, but it never has anything new come out. I still love it, though.

I think that when you've been a hardcore gamer since the age of three since you first played Sonic 2 on a second cousin's Genesis, and have owned a console from every generation from the late-8 bit on, it says a lot when you put off upgrading PC hardware and don't intend to buy a new console.

Sorry for the rant and "thread shit" but I find the fact that game quality has taken such a gigantic dump since 2002 disturbing.

right now i play CS:S and BF2 actively.

for counterstrike source recently i found a bunch of really good custom maps. type into filter for the map surf_. the surf maps are weird, but if you want a break from the people who are super extreme with the tactics these are good, and your success is half determined by your "surfing" skills.

if you want to try it try to find a map called surf_prisoner, or surf_fightclub (which is only on one server that i know of) because failing to surf on those maps doesnt mean suicide.

those are good as well. i use to only play the 24/7 assault servers. cs_assault_2005new being my favorite version. just liked that map because its a real challenge for both teams. CTs have to figure out a good way in and combine tactics and execute several plans at once. Ts have to figure out where they are striking and then defend it properly, or have half hte team camp the hosties, which doesnt work too well.

other good maps to check out are
scoutsznknives (spelling?)
awp maps (enter awp_ in filter)
maphacks (spelling?) i just played this one recently it is really interesting and a fun quick map. it is a very basic level design, but the walls are completely invisible and you can see through them, but can't walk through them.

also another fun map i played recently was called dodgeball or smething like that. it was crazy, no buy zone type map, but in the middle of a gymnasium is about 50 or so grenades and teams start ont he opposite sides with knives only. so you run pick up grenades and start fighting.

the dust maps are over played

but my favorite maps are ones like fy_snow. oh, and office :thumbsup:

Holy shit! I was in VooDoo clan and a couple other clans. I knew all the D12 guys...alot of them are playing BF2 now; m0ney, SMAK, MoJo, LDD, etc.

the only reason it died is due to lack of support by ladders...it's still one of the better FPS out there IMO.

Fixed. Too tired/lazy to post price, but it should be around $300-400. The Semprons OC reeeeaaaaalll good so you should be able to get it up to at least a 3000+ in that motherboard.
