This is one of the most complex flash games I've ever seen/played.

It's a 3D MMORPG and you actually connect to servers to play this game. It uses a java client, but other than that the game is completely online and you don't have to download anything. Perfect for the office or home.

Also, I didn't say it was the LATEST GREATEST. I said it's one of the most complex flash games ever. It's great cuz everything is contained online. You don't have to download any skins, mods, system files, etc. It's great for untraceable gaming in the office on a work computer or something like that. Stick to WoW if it's so "boring" to you.

No, RuneScape. That thing has such a shitty video chip that it can't even run Quake II in OpenGL mode. It's a Neomagic chip :sad:.

I tried multiplying them and getting an IP, no prevail.

There are 9 digits, and class C IPs have 4-5 digits...post what you've got in the link.

Also, the port is 80 for the ip. Be sure to tack that on at the end of the IP.

so i make my account, and play to the part where they tell me to roast some shrimp, but i didn't figure out how, so i forgot my pass and log in as soon as i gave up on the roasting shrimp

Oh yeah, and I also think that anything anyone wants to do with their spare time is entirely up to them. We don't all enjoy the same things, and just because you may like something or dislike something, does not mean that others must agree with you.

I agree with the thread started, it is a really good game considering its browser based with no downloads. BROWSER FUCKIN BASED. You guys are being to harsh on it comparing it to things with discs, download's etc.

Given what it has to work with i think jagex have done extremely well with it.

runescape aka www.runescape.com is a java client on a member server for additional features for $5 a month, or a free server (f2P, free 2 play) and basic play, where you do quests, etc, etc, and it is highly addicting, omfg.

I played it once. I couldn't be bothered to do the quests, so I just mercilessly slaughtered the innocent, semi-ferocious looking blob-like monsters that roamed about in the happy little meadows. It was fun for awhile, but then I died in a lag fit and suckered some kid into buying my account, which having died, was stripped of everything. :)

But it is quite impressive for a browser based game, although I would never pay $5 a month to play it. That's just wrong. :rolleyes:

So, everyone of my friends used to make fun of me for playing Everquest 2 religiously.

A couple months later, every single one of them is addicted to Runescape. Wtf?

But really, I choose not the play the game. I've tried, but I just can't force myself to play that game. But yeah, considering what it has to work with, it's pretty damn good.

i used to liek this game, but you cant do much unless you play. i did all the quests and got to lvl 42 in a week. them i just opened my eyes, looked at the graphics, realized its live action turn based and said "Fuck this!" the only thing i liked about it was the 'Random events'. Lol I had the frog event three times.

Now im hooked on a MUCH better game. Flyff (flyff.gpotato.com)

No Runescape isnt the greatest of MMORPG's, graphics are cheesey and gameplay slow...unless you have absolutley no life. But because its free and even membership is dirt cheap its a really really great way to start your mmorpg life experience (IE good for kids ages 8-16, give or take when they start and how soon they move on to newer and better games). I played this thing since it was abou a year old. Animated objects were 2d, there was no sound but unlike some of you i looked past that and saw the huge amount of gameplay underneath. When it moved to 3d i was so happy, i guess you can only appretiate it when you've been there since pretty much the beggining.

Well Runescape Has a 3d Version of it now, plus there no download involved and no disc. I think if they made a disk like World of Warcraft, Oblivion, or other games like that many more people would be playing it. World of Warcraft is just a MMORPG Or Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. Same with Runescape. Like 1 - 2million Players are on and I think more would come if they made a disc game. All in all Runescape owns ;)
