East coast and pretty much everywhere in Africa I've ever lived it's Soda. Though interestingly, some countries had exclusively either Coke or Pepsi products (i.e. Sudan had only Pepsi, but Zimbabwe only had Coke), but that was a while ago, not sure how it is now.

I'm fucked. I grew up as an army brat. There's a tremendous southern influence (maybe because everyone's trying to get the hell outta Texas, Louisianna, Arkansas, etc) in the military. "Y'all" was a normal part of my vocabulary for years. As was "coke" for damn near anything carbonated. Here in the northwest, people call it pop. I've picked it up, but still find myself referring to all cola as coke.
