Does anyone know the origin of the faces on a dollar bill when you hold it up to a light?

Perhaps you are speaking of the water marks. They are put there to keep counterfieters at bay. Normally they are the same portrait that is in ink, only actually INSIDE the paper.

Well I have studied Art History a bit (not like the "I read the Da Vici-code" -kinda way, but as real). And then again I have a graving interest on the freemasonry, templars, Illuminati and that.
George Washingtons hand gesture does not mean "fuck you",. in order to do so his hand should be the other way around. The plam facing him and two fingers up. That is the same as showing your middle finger. I canīt recall what does that gesture implement. It is used in many paintings, Da Vinci, Michelangelo and such have used that. If I remember correctly it symbols an open mind and trustworthiness. Like "come to me" -kinda way.
What is more striking in that painting than his hands, is the text "fatherhood of god - brotherhood of man".. Itīs like.. clever :) I have never seen the word "God" in any other freemasonry stuff.
It is fun to notice how the symbols between christianity and freemasonry nit together. For example the allseeing eye. It is as much a symbol of god as it is of masons. I have created a little theory on the pyramideye-thingy.
Pyramid symbols something manmade, science and such. And on top the eye, which can symbol the fact that masons are everywhere, or then again it can symbol God. And how it is placed on top of the pyramid; manmade, science. So in a nutshell I see it symbolizing the fact that man created god.
