I found these on another forum and thought someone else might find them interesting. We've come a long way since then...

That was in 95I remember having an 8MB hard drive and being unable to fill it up, then later a 100MB one, and my dad buying a 1x CD burner that cost around $600. I also remember the subsequent amazement form my friends that "OMG CDs can be copied!!!"
Before that I remember BASIC and the TRS80 we had, then the Apple IIe... and DOS shells. :)

Oh crap...that reminds me of the Commodore VIC that I had. You could buy the cable and hook it into a cassette recorder if you wanted to write and save programs.
I used it to play text adventure games. You used the TV for a monitor.

I remember my mom being jealous when my uncle bought a 486 with a CD rom drive.
That was in '91. We had a 386 at the time, and had that 386 until '99. Now it's in my brother's room, and it still works great.:happysad:

My 486 was hardcore! seriously i went through about 150 sticks of 30 pin ram... mainly because my computer was tempremental and only liked certian chip manufacturers, i got it to 48mb (which is quite a feat with only 6 SIMM slots), i had the MEGA 486dx4 which clocked at the amazing 99Mhz, i still have all the 486 cpu's i went through before i got that beast... had a Tsung Labs (i think) 9000(something) this card could pump out the best pixelated 3D games at high resolutions; such as 320*240 at 8bit colour... aaaahh the good old days. Now im saving for a pentium 120Mhz with 64Mb EDO, two years and a lot of coal shovelling and im half way there, feel free to add your support/donations!
