Although the UN never expressly condoned what we did, their withholding permission is testament only to the inherent inefficacious nature of a global body in the first place. Do you have any clue how many Congolese, Rwandans, Kosovars and Ugandans have died in the past decade alone on the UN watch? Millions. UN patrols are useless: they are not a rapidly mobilizing international force and the killing they are supposed to prevent is required as a pretense for action in the first place. If that is not a damning condemnation of fallacious purpose, I don't know what the fuck is. Two resolutions (1386, 1441) paved our way and provided us with all the legality we need. International law is politically charged and simply unenforcable. When the EU can't even bring the UK to terms with the Strasbourg Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) and even impose an article of incompatibility (sec.6) to state such, I don't see how US ethos could possibly be considered globally.

Regarding your desperately weak jury-trial analogy, we have appointed intellectual judges deciding cases and jurors who are instructed to impartially examine each of the facts. I don't see anyone here impartially examining the facts that the two sides (let's say I'm a plaintiff, and you are the defendant) nor do I see any judges impartially concluding from said facts. In a jurytrial, the judge is not the arbiter of justice, the jury is. In nonjury cases however, the judge is the arbiter of justice; either way, I don't see you providing more concrete, consistent, or empirical arguments than I; similarily, considering we have people like Lobo who's mental state would render him incapable of serving on a jury, I hardly think that fools' votes add strength to your argument. Now I know that Bush lowered that taxes at least 3 times. This sets the scale as high as -3, now we need to get it all the way up to +3; how do we do this? We have to raise the taxes SIX FUCKING TIMES.

The unemployment levels were worse off then i thought, and I found that where the unemployment levels were not too high, they were too low.
