I know my brother smokes weed, but this shouldn't be happening because of that. Weed doesn't make you hallucinate...

About 2 monthes ago, he tells me and my mom that he saw a ghost a week earlier. He describes it as this.

"Me and a few friends were walking to our car, and the headlights and inside lights were on. There was a blurry man infront of the car. About 2 seconds later the lights turned off and the man disseapered"

Yesterday he told my dad about seeing a UFO. He described it as this.

"Me and a few friends were driving along a road and we saw flashing lights over a hill, pretty far away. We turned off the car to check it out. There were 3 things. These things had 3 red lgihts making a triangle and many blue lights that made a circle. They moved slowly and without any noise."

Any theories on wtf is happening?

Me and my buddies were driving to the airport to pick up another friend. 1/2 of the people in the car were on acid. The other half (minus me, I didn't do anything ever, never needed it) were on weed. We were on the high way doing 70 mph when we saw this wall of water shooting out of the ground. It wasn't like someone hit a fire plug, it was like water was shooting out of a manhole or something. Everyone in the car saw it, even me. We thought we were crazy, so, as rational minds come to great conclusions, we drive through it.

We heard something under the van, but we didn't get covered in water. Never saw it again, even on the way back.

I gess strange things are attracted to stoners.

She went to a party and didn't come home so I drove over to the party and I found her on the lawn fighting what she later called a "glooper". She was swinging at a bat when nothing was there. She refused to get into the car, so I had to basically hurt my sis so she would get in the car. I took her to the hospital where they found a combination of Weed and LSD in her bloodstream.

Back when I smoked da happy plant, I hallucinated(while lying on my friends carpeted floor) that I was above the Earth, and as I moved my arms back and forth, I was stroking the forests and oceans(actually, just carpet). Crazy shit man.

Another time, I was lying in my bed, and my friends told me I put my hands and arms up in the air and started moving them fluidly. When one of 'em asked me what the hell I was doing, I told him I was "sea-scalloping."

Actualy. Weed does make you hallucinate. I have no personal experience, but it can be read for instance in Kalat´s "Biological Psychology" and other neuropsychologic books. Weed affects hippocampus, the basal ganglia and the cerebellum. It has psychocomatic influences. On the somatic part for example the following: Lung diseases, higher cancar-risk in the head area, problems with immunesystem, lower libido and birth rate (natality) etc.
On the psychic part for example the following: Lower learningabilities, losing the sense of time and place, personality changes, amotivation-syndrome, panic disorders, and hallucinations...

Usually hallucinations are caused by the change of dopamine-level in the brain. That is why for example some people with Parkinsons have hallucinations. They have a lower level of dopamine, and when this is raised with drugs, it often raises the level too high -> hallucinations (because bodys l-dopa level changes constantly, it is hard to find a balance; the right amount)

:ut-oh: It may on may not have been weed. Rumor has it that the govrnment is testing some kind of round, flat, UFO like fighter for use in sorties in other countrys. This woulb be very adventagous for the fast of increased speed and manuvarabilty and not to mention the psycological factors that it would hav on the baddies......think about it what would you think if a spaceship just flew overyour head and droped a bomb??

Well, i personally have smoked the happy plant and, no hallucinations. Then again it's a well known fact that every1 reacts differantly to it. I'd like to believe he's either lying, or it was laced. Ghosts are weird.

Zickddot I agree with FliptheState. Your brother actually went home and told your parents about his halluciations? He's definitely hiding something he thinks would be worse than his parents thinking he's gone soft in the head.

It's interesting that the ghost disappeared when the car lights went out. It's possible the ghost was some type of anomoly created by the car lights reflecting off a shiny surface.

leehype. It's possible what you and your friends saw was a drain pipe being flushed by the city water works. During a flush an enormous amount of water is forced into the pipeline to clear the system. The drain pipe may have been so clogged with debris that instead of cleaning out the pipe as it is intended to do the water spurted out of a manhole in the street.

I didn't have any trouble with weed until I combined it with booze. The effect on me worked like people say the date rape drug works, I lost time. I only let that happen once, the experience scared me enough to never do it again. And I felt lucky I was in a safe place where nothing could happen to me while I was out of it.

and a friend of mine claims to have seen a smurf when he was high...

So it is quite possible to hallucinate from weed but I still don't understand why your brother would tell you parents about it. Except if he was stoned then as well. That would actually explain everything ^^.
