Both me and my mother have weird electrical happenings. I'll explain.
I just started to believe in this weird life force emitted by everybody. Mainly because of these happenings. I am a realisticly minded person and an athiestic person.
Well, first my mom noticed that whenever SHE passes by this certain light, it turns off or on. It only happens to her.
And I noticed I have somewhat of the same effect on sound-emitting objects. My computer's sound stops working whenever I fix it. Both of my stereos don't work, they are both fairly new. Also, WHILE UNPLUGGED AND NO BATTERIES, my stereo started beeping. And lastly, Occasionaly, my stereo turns on when I enter my bedroom. This kind of stuff happens on a weekly basis.
Does this kind of stuff happen to you?

That's quite wierd, I must say. Maybe you should try googling it. That's what I do when I don't know something. Hey, maybe you can try and become a psychic and make some money. Or you could use telepathy to try and control people. Just like that guy in X-Men. That would be cool.
But anyway, I don't really think there is anything too "strange" going on, and probably nothing paranormal. I would suppose that you and your mom have an abnormal electric field around you. Maybe hereditary, since both you and your mom had it. There is a lot of things about the body that science doesn't know or can't explain. I'm sure that it is just one of those undiscovered "talents" (if you choose to you it in the GOOD way, if you know what I mean) that the human body houses. Hell, maybe you are really an X-Man. Maybe its a sixth sense, if you're lucky.
Interesting, some of the thing you describe have happened to me: like sometimes when i get near a lamp it goes off and turning on the stereo or off the tv.
I dont know in your case, but in mine i belive/know i have an ability (or my body, if you can call it that) to conduct fairly easy electricity. I get electroshock most ot the time i get in contact with metal things (like cars, poles, antennas). It's weird in a funny kind of way.

Hmm.. It really depends on the way you look at it. That lamp thing you mentioned has happened to me, but actually it was probably because I walked next to it a lot. Small weird shit happens all the time, just depends on how open-minded you are. And yeah what Kiwi mentioned might be true in some cases, because the human body does conduct electricity pretty well. (Btw, electricity in the right place and right doses has the same effect as the chinese needle-healing thing. Really works.)

I dont have anything cool like turning stuff on and off, but EVERY SINGLE time my girlfriend gets out of a car she shocks the shit out of herself on whatever/whoever she makes contact with first. I have to close her doors for her so she doesnt get zapped. She tried to blame it on her car, but it only happened to her. Then it started happening one day in my car...not sure why, but she is the only one it happens to. I told her to try different shoes, but it still happens no matter which pair she wears.

The seats are making her staticly charged when she rubs on it. It can actually be dangerous if she trys to fill her car with gas and she doesnt ground herself.
:flamed: if you know what i mean

I don't really have any paranormal stuff like that (unless a lot of de ja vu counts) that happens to me. Except sometimes when I walk by the lamp it flickers a bit. I usually just shrug it off, but now that you mention this I have to wonder...

That's pretty weird shit, Zickdot. I've heard about a family that are all magnetic and they can stick magnets to themselves and spoons and metal stuff. I wish my family could all do somehting cool like that (the only thing cool we can do is wiggle our ears).
