i think the US should have converted to metric in the 70s like canada did. we SAID we were going to. it just would have cost too much to change all the signs and shit.
honestly, in my world we rarely use the imperial system of weights and measure for anything. the bottom line here is that the system of measure is a user interface. we always want our user interfaces to be quick and easy to learn and to use. so why is it americans are bent on NOT using the metric system? seriously, i don't get it.
