I guess this is the closest forum for this. Ahem. I have a XG-NV2U SHARP projector, it's pretty nice, though there is some dust on the inside lense which projects onto the wall when I use it, its getting noticable and annoying, and I have tried and tried all day to get into it to clean it off, anyone know how to disect one of these things? I've taken out all the screws but it wont budge, I can't figure out how to get to the second lense, there has to be a way because they sell replacement lenses and bulbs. They stopped making this paticular model however.

Anyone technicaly knowledgable know what to do?

It's Hammer time.

I agree. However, if you find the hammer does not do an effective job, you can also use a chainsaw, that always works.

You all are not helping him any. I am sorry I would not know what to do myself. Have you tryed to take it some where to get it looked at and see if they can clean it for you. Let the professionals do it. Thats just my opinion.

(I bet soon as I say my opinion, Junglism is going to come in here and say some smart ass comment about my post...lol)

Uh.. Great "suggestions".. Heh. We finally got it open and cleaned it best we could with an air can and a microfiber cloth.. It may have gotten a LITTLE better. It may just be the lense is slowly melting, because you DO have to buy a new one every so often. You can really only see the red dust when there is a white screen or theres the same screen for a while, but its ok I guess for a cheap projector.

if you're not using it for gaming or porn, it's not worth your time anyhow.
