View Full Version : I just want to sleep in!!!!!!
Arggggh, I work all damn week, all I wanna do on the weekends is sleep till atleast 11. Man I can't wait till I move next month.... when I'm here at my parent's place it seems they always CHOOSE to vaccum around 8am on a saturday morning. If I stay.......elsewhere........ theres a little puppy crying at 7am every morning. I just can't win!!!!!! When I move into the condo I'm shutting off the doorbell, all the phones, and putting up sound proof walls around my bedroom!!!!!!!!
I feel your pain. I'm always awoken by something. If it isn't the main line, it's my cell phone. If I stay elsewhere, it's guaranteed that one of us will forget to turn off our cell phone. Sometimes it's the cat that decides we've slept long enough. If we do remember to turn off all phones and close the bedroom door, then it's likely someone always stops by early and knocks on the door or honks the horn until we're awake. gah!
I'm shutting off the doorbell, all the phones, and putting up sound proof walls around my bedroom!!!!!!!!
Connect door-bell switch with machine-gun trigger and enjoy music of revenge! :gun: :mfinger: :sword:

Glarg. I got woken up 1/2 hour earlier than I needed to because the cat was checking out the coffeetable, and he spends forever squirting her with the spray bottle.
Of course today, we realized she's just thirsty! ^_^ She KNOWS she's gonna get squirted, and drinks it out of her fur.
I just remember back in the days when I was in college (lol... like 8 months ago) I slept SOOOOOOO much more. I'd stay out all night and sleep all day. Sure occasionally I'd get pawed to death by the cat when he's hungry in the morning, but man do I miss SLEEP!

Don't ever have children. This morning we were awakened by the wee demon saying Mooommmmyyyyyy! Where are you? Mommmmyyyyyy! Moooooommmmyyyyyy! Mommy? Mommy? Where are you? MOMMY!
i don't plan to have children for many more years
i don't think i'll be able to take it

Heheh..something like that. I'm just amazed he stays in his bed til one of us goes to get him. I'll be very glad when he discovers the joys of sleeping in.

once the wee demon starts to sleep in (ie. teenager), then you get your revenge and wake 'em to do chores, etc. hehehehehe!!

okay, this is what you do. goto swordsonline.com, buy yourself a nice little sword about 40 inches long. make death threats. :sword: i think then you will be able to rest way you deserve.
If that doesn't work for sleeping, I'm sure it'll probably work at work. That is if you could sneak it in. There's been many a times that I wish I had a nice big sword to use at meetings or to end idiotic discussions.

You know those little sound effect boxes that people put on their dashboards to "shoot" the other drivers (and then they made them into keychains that became prizes in magazine drives)... My dad used to take one of THOSE into meetings with it hidden in his pocket, and use appropriately. Apparently, his coworkers at the time were even more retarded than he cause they couldnt figure out who it was!

Hah! Awesome.
Between HighSchool, the gym, and my basketball team, the only day I get to rest is Sunday, which I usually spend getting forced to do chores. I swear if it weren't illegal I'd enslave my siblings.

Not from the parents at any rate..
Up until your kids reach a certain age, sleep deprivation is a fact of life. (Lucky me that Jason sleeps for 12 hours now. Though if I want to do anything for myself, it pretty much has to be later at night.)

You're superman, you shouldn't need more than 15 minutes of sleep ;). Now who's choice is it to go to bed at 3 or 4am? I think that way back when I was your age, that's all the sleep I got, cuz of studying, etc. I do feel for ya, but there is a difference when it's your choice vs choice of another party (person). Now goto bed - or do you need Lobo to tell you to go to bed?

sleep in general would be a nice concept. between school, work and attempting to maintain a personal life of some kind, sleep is a foreign concept half the time. and then if i do manage to get any in, it is filled with dreams of equations and case studies ... i can never escape. not only would i like some actual sleep, (let alone sleep in) i would like my subconscious to get some better material to entertain me with!

Today was REALLY a day I wanted to sleep in. I had to close the store last night, and for some retarded reason I said i would fill in at another store to open. So by the time I get home, have some dinner, do a quick round of the internet, it was 2. And I had to get up at 5. But Chrix stayed up til then to make sure I got up. I bet if he went to bed I would have never stopped snuggling and slept through it all. It's not like they even needed me anyways for any fucking reason but to use up more of their payroll... *shrug*
I didn't sleep in today, but did manage to land 8 hours of sleep. It was terrible; I felt like hell in the morning, as if I only had 3 hours of sleep. I hate when getting enough sleep is worse than not getting enough.

That's the worst. I really hate it when you know you're going to get to sleep in and you toss and turn all night long

And then on the flip side are those days like I had today: you go to bed far earlier than usual cause your tired, and thinking you will get up at a decent hour to get some things done, and you sleep 13 hours and end up playing video games all day.
Not that it's all THAT horrid. My house is just messy. Heh.
That's ok. I have lackeys that have recently started cleaning it for me! MWAHAHA!

the worst is when the family wants to wake you up for no good reason other than that you sleep too late. i tried to tell them that when you go to bed after 1 you need to sleep at least 12 hours.
