Attention musicians out there - Geht This Wants YOU!*READ THIS!!*

OK, so geht and I (as well as some others) have mentioned that we should showcase some of our listeners with whatever talent they have, whether it be instrumental, band, vocal... whatever. We are also talking about possibly doing a Karaoke type contest where listeners will send in files of themselves singing karaoke-style their pre-recorded songs. We're even thinking about prizes here guys - not necessarily cash but something that might peak some interest, like geht coming over and cleaning your house in his sexy French maid uniform... or maybe not.

What we need at this point is some feedback on this. Let us know if you're interested by sending a pm to myself or geht and we'll make some decisions based on your input. The more input we get the better the chance these things happen. So let us know! :D

I think it's a great idea. I was listening in on the night that Gehtfuct mentioned this, the night that he and your daughter were talking to each other. That was some funny stuff.

I do play guitar, but not well enough to be out on any type of radio, although I do have a friend that can sing very well, maybe I'll see if he is interested and get him on there.

I want to point out this is mostly for fun and to share some of our listeners talent/s with everyone else. Being that our paychecks seem to have never made the mail don't expect mega cash and prizes. Just some e-fame and bragging rights and possibly the afore-mentioned perks of geht and his feather duster. :tongue:

Amusingly enough you'll notice that I seem to take "some" ;) credit for it on this weeks rant. I did the rant on the 24th, before this thread showed up. So don't beat me up too much Honey and Geht! :D

I'm down. My DJ gear is set up to live stream mixes and record them. I could spin a set live for you, or prerecord one and send it to you in any format you want.

FYI: During this contest/talent show, there won't be any particular genre required. If you want to sing, belt out whatever type on music that you'd like. Metal, Pop, *cough* Kenny G, Country... whatever. If you have instrumental talent, the same applies there. Guitar, drums, piano, beatbox, skin flute, whatever. All are welcome.

Also, if the sound quality is good, or if I'm able to enhance it, we'll put your stuff into WTFRadio/GEHT THIS rotation for all to enjoy in shows to come. So, don't be a puss like MaxPower. Geht that shit recorded and send them to our email as soon as you can. You can also call in to the show and do a live piece if you'd like, ie: instrumental and the like. We'll announce a show date for all of this in the next few days as more members geht involved.

The time has come. You have until 8-9 to submit your instrumentals and 8-16 for your karaoke songs. Your submission will be played on that weeks show. I know there are a few of you that are saying, "Waah! I can't do it. I'm a pansy". That's OK. We have several staff members contributing their efforts to entertain you and they are pansies too. So much for excuses.
