Anyone want to co host a show?

Yah i kind of had an idea for a show but, ihatesoup, my original co host cant do it because his work schedule is to fucked up or something. So i need somebody else. I want to make the show about current news, issues, and maybe dive into politics a bit. I was thinking me and somebody else could easily bull shit an hour away, i was thinking Wednesday at 9 PM EST, but that's just a suggestion.

Really all I'm looking for is somebody who know a bit about the world around them, can bounce an idea around. that, and it helps if you don't compleat suck at talking.

Just to expand on this a bit:

You'll need a DSL/Cable connection
Skype
Microphone
The ability to speak.
Time to set aside for it.

The rest will be done on Bal's end.

Its hard to say what issues would be talked about on the show, i want to make it current and up to date with things that are happening in the nation and around the world. I guess if i had to pick a few topics right now, i would go with how the rescue efforts in the Utah Mine collapse are proceeding at a very slow speed and how this should have been prevented, also the Minnesota bridge that collapsed, what's going on over there and a review on that. If good news is slow or i just haven't taken the time to research any thing, we could bring up a hot political topic, for some reason i want to get into a debate with somebody about the whole issue of illegal immigration.

if were lucky we might bring a guest on the show, and the phone lines would always be open if anyone wanted to throw in there 2 cents.

pretty much i want to model the show after Rush Limbaugh's show.

hummm. I was thinking about just talking to them one on one in skype to see if they know there shit and if they can carry on a conversation, but that might have to be put in effect if there are multiple people left over.

I was actually planning on buying a mic to Vid call my bf when he goes to college, so its no inconvenience to pick one up. But I think CL's test idea is a good one, because I'm not sure of alot of things on my end yet. Prolly wont get a mic til tomorrow, though. But I can carry on a debate, if your wondering. I got 4th in SKNFL (big debate tourney) my freshman year.

i had somting like that in the back of my mide to, somting along the lines of just doing the show by myself but relying on others to call in on the phone or skype and add in there two cents.

im still playing around with that but im just trying to find all my options.

Bal, a lot of AM radio people have shows like you want to do and when they are by themselves its fucking boring. When the callers get in is when it gets interesting, so having a co-host would be better. Only having your opinion for half n hour then having calls come in is boring no matter how interesting the topic.

true, but i all ways knew the show would be almost dependent on others giving there opinion. and while yes having a co host would help that problem, but if i could get a steady rate of callers i wouldn't need a co host. so i have been debating with myself over the two.

Lol Ive always wanted to call into a show, any show actually but I have no idea how to do it. Id love to do some Radio things (and I think necro is actually cooking somethin up for us??) but I would have no idea how to set things like that up in order to talk and stuff.

Unless you work with a co-host who is absolutely dedicated to the schedule, it might be a good idea to consider multiple co-hosts. Things happen, hurricanes, traffic, a cute person on the bus, etc., which ends up leaving the single host all by her/himself, begging people to call in.

Hope you're able to get this show going soon. Sounds interesting!
