DOS Gaming - Nostalgia, anyone?

I'm just curious if anyone here remembers the good old days...you know, back when you had to type this:

C:\> cd \games\descent

C:\GAMES\DESCENT\>descent

DOS 4GW Runtime...(etc.)


What are your two favorite DOS games, and why are they your favorite? Mine are Descent 1, and Doom.

I remember before we even owned a computer with Windows 3.1 or a mouse. All we had were DOS shells. :tongue:

Too young for that, our family's first REAL computer was an old Dell...it was a Pentium 75. The guy who he bought it from gave us a pirate copy of Descent, and BAM! Hooked for life. My all time favorite game. It replaced an original model IBM PC from 1982 with a vector monitor.
