I've been playing golf since I was like seven years old. I think it's a great sport because you have nobody to blame except for yourself. It's even more entertaining to watch people get pissed off, swear, throw clubs, etc.
Speaking of clubs, does anyone know of any good over-sized drivers I can buy? I've heard the Nike Sasquatch is good, so is the Taylor Made Burner.
I've had the same clubs for awhile now; before the over-sized drivers were even popular (yes, I'm getting old). I'm sick of playing with a driver that's about the size of most 3-woods.
And before you start thinking, "Hey, I'll bet that Premier1 guy has a small dick!" no...my penis is average. I don't need a "big wood" to compensate for a lack of man-meat, faggot.
So tell me about golf. Why do you like it? Any good stories? Give me some suggestions about some big, throbbing drivers.

I fucking love the game. Thanks for the thread. I carry a 10 handicap, and play approx 2-3 times a week when the weather permits (sigh...clubs were removed from the truck last week).
Definitely get the oversized driver, they are really forgiving. However, look for last years models, you can normally get them for a decent price. The thought of dropping 500-600 bones for a fucking golf club turns my stomach.
I currently play with Taylormade Burner irons, and talylormade drivers/woods. My fairway woods are defo outdated, and will be the next thing I replace.
Edit: My driver I play now is a Taylormade R5, nice size, but without those little weights you can adjust. I'm betting you can find one for around 200 nowadays, if not less (used)

Thanks man!
I'm seriously thinking about getting the Taylor Made Burner. I picked up one today from Golf Shack and tried it out in an inside driving range about 30 minutes away. It was sweet! I think it's time to run back and buy a new one. It's going for about $300.
I was looking at the drivers with the adjustable screws. Call me old-fashioned, but I think that's fucked up. Not only do I think it's unfair, it would drive me insane. Everytime I would slice, I know that I would be fucking around with a screwdriver on the course. Then I'd hook it, and try to put it back to the original position.

I dont think the concept of adjustable drivers in itself is fucked up.. but for me, I'd never have one. If you play competitively, or in local fun tournaments.. its against the rules to adjust your weights in the middle of the round. Shit, it's hard enough for me to remember all the things I gotta do for a decent golf swing. Why add one more fucking variable (adjustable weights) to the list?
Besides, one can have the best, highest-tech clubs made, but it doesnt do a lot of good without a decent swing, and a lot of practice.

I"ve been golfing on and off when I can (school gets in the way a lot). I don't really have the money or time to invest in a full set, so I'm using these really secksy custom Vulcans with graphite shafts. I love 'em! But I only have irons 5-9 and a pitching wedge. As for woods, I have a Taylormade utility wood, some random 3 wood, and my driver is a Ping G5.
The G5 is awesome, you should check that one out. Assuming you have the money. I don't know how much it costs, since my dad gave it to me. He didn't like it or something.
