So, what are you all resolving to do this new year?
Here are mine:
1 - Save enough money to buy a reliable car, with a manual transmission.
2 - Wake up no later than 10 am
3 - Be more consistent with working out
And perhaps my best resolution of all  :
4 - If she wants the dick, give her the dick. Close your eyes if you have to, but whatever.

Fuck resolutions, every person I've ever talked to who's made a resolution has broken it, most of them did it within the first week. People who set unrealistic goals for themselves are only dooming themselves to failure by even attempting to set these silly goals for themselves.
But to be nostalgic I'll make a resolution anyways.
I resolve to smile more.

PSYCHOSTICK - HAPPY FUCKING NEW YEAR
You know that I know that we both know how resolutions end
You know that you are gonna give up yet you still pretend
You can't deny the fact that your convictions bend and break
All you'll abandon every promise that you ever make
You're not gonna see it through
We know what you're gonna do
(You're gonna fail) You're not gonna see it through
(You're gonna fail) We know what I say is true
Happy New Year's Day
2002 and 3 were just like 4 and 5 and 6
Happy New Year's day
You just remind yourself of all the stuff you'll never fix
You just remind yourself of all the stuff you'll never fix
You know that I know as well as you do it's not gonna last
Did you forget results of resolutions from the past?
File your intentions out of sight and out of mind
You'll never folllow through with promises of any kind
You're not gonna see it through
We know what you're gonna do
(You're gonna fail) You're not gonna see it through
(You're gonna fail) We know what I say is true
Happy New Year's Day

I usually don't buy into traditions like New Year's resolution or giving up shit for Lent. It's better to play your best game year round. Implementation of good policies should occur immediately, not be delayed until a holiday happens.
But this year, I'm making an exception. In 2008, I resolve to kick even more ass!!!

I couldn't find the little smilie thing where it puts a drill to it's head and screws his whole head into the ground and then a flag pops out with a little 'circle and slash' symbol.
I know, lick lick slurp, not lick lick chew.
I wanna go back to my life before I read this.

I have to say, the only thing I can even go with right now is...
I hope 2008 doesn't suck as much as 2007 did. I'm sure that's wayyyyy to much to ask.

For those of you who are resolving to do day-to-day things:
Sign up at http://www.dontbreakthechain.com to help you monitor your resolutions!
The site lets you create your goals (mine are to wake up before 10 am and to work out) and then mark which days you achieve them and which days you don't.
The cool part is that it monitors how many days in a row you have been performing your task, and displays that at the bottom of the calendar! If you are like me and you have a competetive nature, this is perfect, because I am now motivated to make the longest chain of consecutive successes possible. And when I break that chain (because I'm not perfect), I'm going to want to make an even longer one!
You can have as many chains as you want, too, for each different task.
It's free, SUPREMELY simple (all you do is click on the days of the calendar) and so far I find it helpful. I set it as the homepage of my browser and if I haven't completed my resolution for the day, it's a painful reminder to either do it, or do a better job tomorrow.

A little late for new years resolutions at this point, I think. I've never really been a big fan of new years resolutions. I don't see why people need a new year to fix something that they think is wrong with themselves. But I suppose I'll jump on the bandwagon anymore.
1) Im gonna try to eat better
2) Im going to try to *continue* to work out, so I don't get my ass kicked again at my nexy PT test :D
