And I'm enlisting for 4 more years. I hit my window, and I'm doing it. And yes, I feel that this is a lifestyle, not a job. There is no greater calling for me.
I hate the civilian life. Too boring, too unorganized. I like the structure of the Army, being physically fit, the comaraderie, the experiences, and the opportunities. I feel like I was born to do this. Hell, they say that Leos are natural born leaders, and I strive to be the best one I can.
I already have $37,000 sitting aside for college. I don'y need it, I guess. This is what I want to do. Maybe if I have a kid one day, I'll send that little fucker to college with the money.
I'm getting stabilized here in Georgia. I like it here. Don't ask me why. It's just close to a lot of things.
I'm also getting a $21,000.00 bonus.
The Marines taught me a great foundation, and when I decided to join the Army in 2006, it hasn't really fucked me over. Sure, it has its shitty times... but civilian life is not for me.
So here goes. As soon as I get pictures, I will post them.

Good luck HOSTILE.
Any way you can use the money for other college funds? I think donating to a stripper's college fund can be tax deductible too!

Personally, a life in uniform is not for me, but that's pretty awesome that you're going after your calling.
DO NOT die in a combat zone. I won't be there to box you up and ship you home.
Keep at it. By the time you're fifty, you'll have stars on your shoulder and be sitting in a big-screen clad stadium three hundred feet below the Pentagon.

I don't. The only thing Ga is close to for me is a bunch of silly ass rednecks.
But cheers to the corps, matey. :ahoy:

I'll try not to. At least not without a fight.
And no, I'm 26. I'm just aging rapidly because of the genetic augmentation done on my body.

The bonuses are supposed to be back up by the end of the month. I double checked that. My papers aren't going up until then.
It's just a reset. It's not like they cut them out completely. They have to do this every 2 or 3 years.

Ohhh ok. Cause I know their battalion was offering the worst incentive package ever. It was something like 4, 4 day weekends, get out of pt for a month, an extra weeks vacation. Yanno...which is totally better than money.

I could see how this would be you career of choice. There is something for everyone after all. I like the idea of organization however I really don't look good in boots so I guess I'll stick to being a trainer :)

They must be hurting for re-ups.
I was told to not sign the amendment, your papers go on hold until you decide to sign the amendment, or the bonuses kick back in. Either way, the bonuses will be back up and I'm still locked in for my package. I have a little more leeway and choice because MI is a critical skill.

Yeah theyre having a bitch of a time getting guys to stay. Of course none of them will unless the bonus's get back up. Theyre even letting guys re-up long before their time is up. They tried to get D to reup already and I told him I wouldnt support his decision untill he actually went to iraq and decided then whether or not he felt it was worth going back. So he's been waiting anyway.
Good luck, sounds like you know what you wanna do. Some people do way better in the Military than anything else, and from what we've seen of you, heh, you may flourish there. Keep a sharp eye out for snipers when you get to Iraq.

So you're on the way to being a 20 year man. Maybe some Officer training? General Hostile? Hmm, kind of scary. ;) Good luck.

Way go to man. It's cool you know what you want to do with your life. Ever think of putting some of that money into a CD? My friend put a couple thousand in a CD and it's supposed to double in a year. Basically, I'm suggesting you invest some of it. No point in letting it just sit and gain dust.

If you can get a girl to let you throw bologna oon her ass and get at least one picture. You'll be my goddamned hero.
Ive been trying to do that for a year now, strippers never want to let me do it. They just wanna sit on my lap with their freezing ass legs and try to jam their tongues down my throat. yeeeeech.
But yeah. the bologna thing. DO IT.

Hey Ho$, why didn't you stay with the Marines? Why the Army? Just a question, since I am enlisting after High School.
I still think you have a slight death wish Ho$tile! Still, I support you! Crazy monkey! :salute:
