I think it's gonna be okay! I think it might have a vacuum leak somewhere, though.

I have a weird intermittent lifter tap... it wasnt there, then the car died, then it was there, then teh car died again, and then it wasnt there... ??? I was trying to set the idle and timing and so forth and you can see that in the vids.


Tere's also a weird rattling noise that's coming from somewhere... Seems like it's coming from the flexplate, but I dont know yet.

Here it is idling while I work on it in my greasemonkey clothes.

Apparently the fan drags too much on the alternator and it didnt like it! :P So I turned hte fan off and fired it back up and increased the idle speed. Worked well enough.

Just wanted to get a good look at all the rockers moving on that side, one of these is tapping intermittently but as soon as the cover was off, they were behaving. I may yet have to tear it down to replace a lifter. But it was fine for this vid, and honestly most of the time I was running it. I think it may just be one of those working itself out kind of things.

And here it is being driven around by yours truly. I left it in first gear because the TV cable isnt set right yet.
