HYe... you know on one of my other boards we had a problem with topic getting off subject and just genral chatroom crap...
the answer was simple the admin of that site hosted up a chat....
allowing people to still post on the board and keep al the other nonsense in chat...
have you thought about doing this? Can this be done?
It's been done on our other affiliate boards. For this one it's in process. :)

The only posts I've deleted has been pure spammage for other commercial sites. :)

Ahhh, paranoia at WTF.com. Sounds like a movie of the week....
