I was rooting around in the .VP file of my favorite FreeSpace 2 mod, and came across this music...This amazing music...

In short: A mix between SNES Zelda and Sonic 2.

It just dawned on me.

I hate newer games.

I want the old 16-bit days to return, in some kind of collaboration system.

My plan:

Have Nintendo release all it's first party games in it's own "TV Games" style system, and have Sega do the same.

I fucking hate this nex gen shit. I'm gonna go plug in my Genesis and play Sonic and OutRun 2019!

Does anyone else here miss the old days, back when all you had to do to kill something was just on it? Why is it that the most proven formulas are non-existant, or getting there?

Balls and paddles. No.

Big ass bosses you have to jump on. No.

Arcade style gameplay that needs no "training mode." No.

I fucking hate these games that are all flashy, and have no gameplay. Fuck Doom 3; give me Doom 1!

Fuck Sonic Heroes, give me Sonic 2!

Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I'm becoming less and less fond of the neo-era of gaming.

Sorry,I don't mean to fly off topic. I just can't help it at times.

Dude. Didn't you just geht outta here? How is it,that everytime I turn around..
..you're in here plantin' peters? I'm gonna guess that you don't like your confined quarters, correct? You may ask yourself:"WTF did I do this time? And why do I keep doing it?" I know..I know...innocent until proven guilty, thing. You obviously have spit in somebodys ass again. You and Mr.Cheese might as well start a peter planting club. WTF?

I think there is a little nostalgia that goes along with original NES, sega, and things like that, but i also like the way sports games have advanced in particular.

Nintendo released all of their games onto those little handheld controllers (varying in type dependant upon which cart you choose to shop from in the mall).

I will, however, agree with you on Sega. It is the best system, hands down. Maybe because I grew up with one; or maybe just cause I say so.

Nostalgia or not, I own a 65 dollar genesis game, "Pirates! Gold". It is probably the best game on the genesis console, that along with Uncharted Waters 2: New Horizons, The Sonic Series, and Phantasy Star IV.

I personally have a ps2 and sega both hooked up to my tv; and at times I much perfer to play sega. Most of my friends come over to play sega, as well.

Edit: Why am I unable to give Stager rep for bring back memories of old, there is no rep icon next to his name?

Ya, I agree. . . The best games are STILL the old ones. The new ones are so crappy and easy that I beat them in like. . . 8 hours. When they said that they would last like. . . 45hrs! You do the math. But yah. . . my favorite system is the
Super NES.
