My cousin also my best friend has this friend who is in jail. She has dated him before and I'm pretty sure she still has a crush on him. The thing is I have been writing to him for a few weeks now and all of a sudden he wants to date me. In my mind I am thinking either tell him I don't want to play his games and keep the friendship between me and my cousin, but I am also thinking oh damn I am gonna miss my chance to have a good guy (he's fucking hot too, lol). Or maybe I could even go for the one night stand thing. What do you ladies think?

If this girl is your best friend, you are risking losing that special friendship over a guy who you may not even stick with or even care for. It's not worth it. Friends are hard to find and she's family too. I'd stay away from this guy and try to find someone for yourself. You gotta ask yourself though, why would you even concider risking loosing the friendship of your cousin? it's bad enough to create a rift between good friends but why amoung family? You are going to have to see her again and if she really gets mad at you for dating a guy she liked, you are going to have to deal with her everytime your family wants to get together. It's more trouble than it's worth honestly.

I guess I would have to agree with you it's not worth losing our friendship over. I guess I considered it because of the fact that guys don't usually pay very much attention to me, and when they actually do I just go for it not even thinking about what I am risking.

Well don't feel bad. It'll be your turn to get the attention soon enough. You do have be chosey and that's a good thing cause it's not attention you want, it's GOOD attention. That's what you gotta look for so just going for any attention is risking a lot and could probably make you regret your actions. Regret is not a fun thing to feel cause it'll stick around like mold to an old, expired, milk carton.

If it becomes obvious your cousin is not interested in this man and just wants to be friends. Then go ahead and date him but make sure she really is ok with thhis and not just trying to make you happy. a friend scorned is no joke!
