So this is a thread for thoughts on basketball? Hmmmm. Okay then. Here is my theory. Minnesota and L.A. is a series of lots of twists and turns. Sure, L.A. won game 1. Congrats, L.A., you played well. If Minnesota is going to beat them, they are going to need to play defense on Kobe like they did Peja. As for the east, it's going to be a great series,probably the best series of the playoffs. Lots of heart-pounding blocked shots and lots of forced turnovers. Good basketball starts with good defense. If someone was to ask me who I think is going to win the whole thing this year, I am going to have to say the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons displayed a brilliant close to there season, winning 8 of their last 10 games. To top that off, defense payed off in the first two series of the playoffs. Although New Jersey was able to drag out their series with the Pistons to seven games, the pistons kept their defensive poise and closed out the series, only allowing New Jersey to score 69 points. If Detroit continues to play offense like they have been to complement their defense, they will beat anybody.

Good points, but I still stick with the Spurs were the only team that has a chance of winning the best of seven verses LA. The only reason that the East is exciting now is we are already know who's going to win we are waiting to find out who the losers are going to be.

I think if Dallas had beaten Sacramento and Minnesota, they could have out ran the Lakers in a best of seven. They just shot way below their norm against Sacramento, which is why they lost.
