Ok, so I put this in Gross Misconduct, but I wanted to see what you women thought. I got up late last night and went pee and it was very painful, so painful that I did not want to go again. So the next morning, I got up went to work then decided to go pee. Little did I know it was very painful and I saw lots of blood in my urine. I left work early and went to the hospital to get it all checked out. They also said it was nothing more than a UTI. I use to get them frequently then stopped for a while. It was never this bad though; the doctor even asked me if I have had intercourse in the past few days. I told her that I did on Friday, which she had suspected it was two days ago. Now I know why I get them, it is from my boyfriend’s big, well you know. I just wanted to ask you girls if you've ever gotten UTI's from sex? Or is it because I am little and he is, well kinda big down there?

Yes, getting a uti from sex is the most common way. The only way to prevent getting one after sex is to go to the bathroom immediately after sex. During sex the penis rubs the urethra and forces bacteria up inside. Using the bathroom right after sex is the only way to make sure that the bacteria doesn't take hold.
The other ways to get a uti are:
Not drinking enough water.
Waiting too long to go to the bathroom.
Too much caffeinated soda.
An anatomical deficiency of some kind (such as a short urethra).
Yes, I know this subject is disgusting. But knowing what to do is the only way to keep this from happening.
In the meantime, while the infection is being overcome, drink lots of cranberry juice and water.

The thing is I always use the bathroom after sex. I always drink a lot of water. I drink a lot of flavored water called clear fruit; it is clear like water but has a fruit taste with splenda. I stopped drinking dark caffinated drinks last year because I thought that was my problem when I was getting them a lot then. Besides me drinking clear fruit, sometimes at work or going out to eat I will drink Sierra Mist or Sprite. I think I need to get a full exam and see why I am getting UTI's like I am, especially after this one.
drink cranberry juice. i had a uti so badly once i couldnt get off the toilet :oO i felt like i had to pee every 10 seconds. it was miserable... however ive never once had blood in my pee from it. you need to make sure BEFORE and AFTER you have sex to go to the bathroom it rinses everything out. at least i like to pretend that works for me.

Yeah,
you should not have blood in your urine from a UTI... that is a serious problem.

Yeah, but that is what the doctor diagnosed. Now that the blood is cleared away after antibiotics, my right kidney hurts. That has been hurting since yesterday. The doctors ran a bunch of test on my urine (I was sitting in the hospital room for over an hour while they tested) and they told me I had no disease nor was I pregnant. I think I should get tested for kidney stones.

Actually, I feel a lot better now. But I did get them a lot last year so I need to keep an eye on that. The next time I do get one, I will go to my doctor and tell them "Look, you need to give me a full exam now. I don't want no bull shit that I have a UTI and you don't even test my pee or look at my kidneys." The is exactly what I will tell them.

If they never tested ur urine or anything you diffently need to go in and say I need a full exame and possibly even a pap smear. Blood in pee equalls serious problem. Even if you are feeling better.
