And of course I live in the most expensive place in all the USA where it has been over 2 bucks for reg for the past 6 months and is now as high as 2.49 for reg and 2.70 for premium and some places even topped 3 bucks.
its pure greed but also its greed on our part.
Gas was 99 cents for regular in the 1980s. the dollar has deflated to about 1/3rd of what it was worth in 1980. so in a sense gas was the Equivalent of 3-4 bucks back then. and remember cars back then got 10-12 miles to the gallon.
We're just spoiled in this country. Not that I want gas prices to go up so fast because its hard on my families household income but the truth is we have it easier.
