  • Spam makes you stupid!

It seems the more advanced technology becomes people these days are infected with more stupid. You’d think with all the advances we’d be getting a higher IQ but it is apparent it is doing quite the opposite. I get at least ten forwarded emails and text messages a week. Grant you it’s a lot more than that usually but never less.

I’m amazed at our society and how blind leads to blind. I get many forwards that I never read but my co-workers will ask me, did you get that email I forwarded you about Obama? “I might have”, I’ll tell them “but I’ve just not checked my incoming in a few days.” Which is true, I don’t give out the same email address to my co-workers I would my friends and family or my online friends/communities. I’ve just always had three or more emails that I keep those things separated.

So my co-workers go on these tangents about how they get this email and it is very upsetting to them. How Obama has abolished National Prayer Day and how he isn’t a Christian. Really? Never mind the fact that these bitches shouldn’t even be talking about religion at work. Right? Didn’t religion and sexual harassment get banished at the work place? Isn’t that against the law?

Instead of jumping on this band wagon, I decide to check my emails. I read this message and I’m immediately struck at how it comes off so I start doing some research. I would assume any intelligent person would do the same.

“Why in the world do we allow this?
    Where are our Christian Leaders?
A National day of Prayer is canceled and no one objects?
However, the President participates in a Muslim Day of Prayer.
    I do not get it!

    "It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless, minority;
keen to set brush fires in people's minds..."
    -Samuel Adams

Obama canceled the National Day of Prayer service traditionally held at the White House.
Now this....The Islamic Prayer Day last week at the White House.
For Obama to continue as our President is an insult
to our founding fathers (and to all Americans).

If you question the impact of the above picture,
I would suggest you get a copy of the book
The Sword of the Prophet by Serge Trifkovic.
It is well researched and documented, so is trustworthy.
Anyone who believes that 'Islam is not a major threat
to our freedom and country' has their head in the sand.
    This includes Obama himself.
    GOD, PLEASE help the USA!!”
First of all, Obama didn’t do away with National Prayer Day. He decided to celebrate it quietly with his family. So the man doesn’t want to throw a damn press party about his religious beliefs, good for him! Faith shouldn’t be used as a political agenda to begin with as far as I’m concerned. Please note in the article that it says, “"Prayer is something that the president does everyday," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said Tuesday, noting that Obama will sign a proclamation to recognize the day, as many administrations in the past have done.” The President’s press secretary publicly states that he prays every day! Well, hell. I was thinking the man was worshiping Satan from the way my co-workers were talking and going on.

Secondly, where does it state that Obama has renounced Christianity? Does no one remember the stink about his preacher? Jeremiah Wright, from Trinity United Church of Christ. Last time I checked, Church of Christ is considered Christian. Right? If not, someone tell me when this changed.

I asked that same question to my co-workers about Obama’s faith. Did you know they didn’t even know that Obama was Church of Christ? What?!?! You want to come to me about these “facts” you don’t have mind of your own to support and then talk about a man with no religion in Christianity when you don’t even bother to know what is going on with your own President?

Apparently, everyone has been brainwashed and completely forgot about his preachers statements that almost cost him the election. Either that or they really don’t follow the news or election to be informed upon what is really going on in the world. Which just leads me to believe it’s the dumbasses of the world that are going to get us all killed with their stupidity and lack of motivation to find out for themselves.

Lastly, I implore you all. Stop the forwarding madness. Find out if what you are reading is truth or fiction! Be the smartass that says, “Hey, you know what? This email is full of half truths and lies. Better get your shit straight before you send this garbage to me again!” Then call their asses on it. No one likes looking more stupid than they already are… I assure you.

Also, God isn’t going to give you a blessing if you forward a text message and if he doesn’t know you love him by now, just because you forward that message to nine of your friends doesn’t mean he is going to get the message then either. Use some common sense and stop being sheep.

Better yet, entertain me like this or just shut the fuck up! At least I realize how important hand fashion is for a lady.

Good. I hate spam and refuse to eat canned meat.

Canned people, however, I'm all right with.

I'm proud to say that not one email-forwarding idiot sends me email. It's really nice.

I hate spam, and that includes the all-so-fucking hilarious text message jokes. Do you know what it was like being a Texan with cell phone after the election?

It's simple really how stupidity spreads faster on the internet then intelligence.

Normal rational information travels through the internet at the speed of light....
Ignorant misinformation travels at the speed of stupid.. which is far faster....

I still hold to the belief that if I was to pass a rumor at the truck stop I work for that Obama wants to impose a new tax on coffee to help pay for the deficit and such that it would spread like wildfire and soon propagate its way to the internet circle the country and eventually one day a trucker I never seen from somewhere I never heard of will come in and tell me of how Obama is going to impose a coffee tax and that son of a bitch should be impeached...

My point exactly. I don't know what exactly happens to some people that you would think has some form of intelligence but because it comes from the internet and it's in text, they lose all sensibility.

I work at a company that is world wide. I work in IT, and I see every day across the world, idiocy at its best. For security purposes we block certian attachments coming in for obvious reasons. Well I was really disturbed by one today that was a call for people to go to a race track on tax day and protest the new health care bill. I thought to myself, do these people even know what is in the bill? How the bill will affect them or in some cases not affect them? Do the research just don't go by what someone tells you. "Oh My God! I got an email from one of my friends telling me this and that so it must be true." One Phrase comes to mind "Trust But Verify". Always always "Trust but verify", our society is being dragged down. If society does not start thinking for ourselves then we will only be as smart as the morons who spam us this crap everyday. You are only as strong as your weakest link and right now that is ignorance.

It's too late man. No longer do only the more intelligent and physically capable humans survive. Stupid and inadequate people have kids by the dozen. We're doomed.
