I'm running a Mac with OS X Tiger. As such, I can't use bootcamp.

What can I do to get Windows on here? There's a Windows-only game I want to play.

You can try out Parallels (Run Windows on Mac OS X - with no rebooting!) and/or VMWare (VMware Fusion Overview, Run Windows on Mac, Virtual PC on Mac - VMware). Parallels is said to run well, but I'm not sure how it handles graphics.

I don't think it'll have any issues...

However, I'd like to do it for free. Is there any way I can just use the disk utility to make a partition, install Windows on it, and then boot from that partition? Is it really that simple?

I can't edit my previous post, so...

I was wondering if anybody had any commentary on this issue... I have a Windows XP install disk. Would there be issues with drivers? I'm on a MacBook.

I used the way explained in the link above to remove the partition I had for windows, and I think it'll work with you. Anyhow, Try it. There is nothing to lose.
